Zirkus Furioso

»Roll up! Roll up!« Wherever Leo Pimpelmoser appears with his world-famous »Zirkus Furioso«, the public is enchanted – and weeps with laughter. Because in this circus, everything that can go wrong does go wrong: The bear refuses to come on because a mouse has bitten him, assistant Bella Stella is nowhere to be found despite everyone's efforts and to make matters worse, the tiger has broken out of his cage too. So Circus Director Pimpelmoser along with his wife and Curious Frank has to guide everyone through a circus performance full of accidents and to try to save what can be saved. The audience, in the meantime, will see a fakir taking a midday nap on his bed of nails, a magician who has forgotten his magic spell, a pair of dancing elephants, wild horses, knife throwers, jugglers, tightrope walkers, fire swallowers and even a ventriloquist giraffe!

Composer Peter Schindler is one of the most talented writers of songs and musicals for children in the German-speaking world. In his »Zirkus Furioso«, the children's choir of the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz with the support of Dagmar Hellberg, Frank Berg and Erwin Windegger present a turbulent and amusing circus story and, with longs of imagination and song, to create a circus performance, the like of which the world has never seen! So: Clear the ring – it's curtain up for a furiously enjoyable circus event!
