Peter Pan can fly and will never grow up: optimum conditions for a childhood that never wants to end, full of adventures on the fantastic island of Neverland. There, Peter Pan lives as the leader of the »lost boys«. One night on an excursion to London he meets Wendy Darling and her two brothers John and Michael. Without further ado, Peter takes the three of them to Neverland where mermaids, Tiger Lilly's Tribe, elves and, most especially, dangerous pirates led by the evil Captain Hook invite them in for a number of adventures …
Peter Pan is world famous and loved by all! The Scottish author James Matthew Barrie originally only invented the figure of the mischievous boy who never wants to grow up as a minor character for his book »The Little White Bird«. As a main character, Peter Pan on 27 December 1904 first conquered the stage in London as the eponymous hero of the successful play »Peter Pan, or the Boy Who Wouldn’t Grow Up« and very quickly became the symbol of childlike lust for adventure and joie de vivre. Whether on stage, in films or in books, throughout the world children grow up with Peter Pan and adults like to dream nostalgically about Neverland where Peter Pan, eternally young, enjoys his adventures to this day. Choreographer Emanuele Soavi, after his extremely successful adaptation of »Peter und der Wolf« for dance theatre, brings the favourite story of Peter Pan to the stage where the lost boys dance onto the stage with Wendy, Tinkerbell and, especially, follow Peter in fighting the pirates.
