Drag artist Amelio von Tschüssikowski is big in demand: While film producer Prinz wants to drag him away from the show stage as a “woman” for a role in the next “Tatort” production (but especially on his casting couch!), his broke friend Marika desperately needs him as a “man” for an alibi wedding, to snap up the inheritance of her over-the-rainbow-orthodox aunt. Amelio’s life partner Étienne knows only too well how hard it is for his darling to say no, but just now of all times he has to go to the US for a few days. And then Amelio’s egocentric mother also sticks her oar in with ... Well of course, all kinds of turmoil will ensue – on the stage, in the bed and even in the church!
Following Drei Männer im Schnee (Three Men in the Snow) we can now look forward to the new operetta from music cabaret artist Thomas Pigor! He takes his template here from a French theatre farce: Occupe-toi d’Amélie (Look after Amélie) by the comedy specialist Georges Feydeau is a long-standing hit on France’s boulevard stages and has been filmed several times. Together with composer Konrad Koselleck, Thomas Pigor brings this breakneck-crazy comedy into the here and now, with so much music and wild playing with gender stereotypes, true to the vaudeville motto: “It’s all entertainment, and nothing else!”
