You think smoking pot is just a minor offence and marihuana, the most frequently consumed illegal drug, doesn't really cause any harm to speak of? Wrong! Maybe this dreadful tale will act as an effective deterrent: Jimmy and Mary are a young couple looking forward to a safe, happy future – until Jimmy meets the unscrupulous dealer Jack. One drag on a joint and the well-behaved teenager is transformed into an uncontrolled junkie whom not even Jesus in person can get back on the right track!
Based on a real educational film from prudish 1930s America, this successful off-Broadway musical presents the story of Jimmy and Mary as a bizarre comedy with sarcastic undertones and catchy songs, somewhere between "The Rocky Horror Show" and "The Little Shop of Horrors". The State Theatre on Gärtnerplatz, in cooperation with the music course of the August Everding Bavarian Theatre Academy, is the first theatre in Munich to present this great new discovery!
