A little, brightly coloured soft toy wants to know who he actually is. On the search for his identity, he walks through a flowery meadow, meeting various other animals from frogs and fishes to a hippopotamus and a parrot – but none of them knows the answer. He is a little bit like all of them, but not really the same as any of them. When little Ich-bin-ich [I-am-me] actually starts to doubt his own existence, the realisation hits him like a thunderbolt: »I am me!« Full of renewed love for life, he passes his new-found knowledge onto all the others, happily and proudly!
