Things are really buzzing in 1980s Munich: Every self-respecting celebrity wants to go to the trendy "Bussi" club on Saturday night. And that also includes Ritchie, a young student newly arrived in Munich who has no idea as yet what Munich nightlife has in store for him. Stella, the beautiful barmaid, Wolf Wahn, the scheming celebrity reporter, and Heli, the eternally young style guru and "Queen" of the "Bussi", turn the life of the innocent country lad completely upside down until he finally blossoms again in the fertile soil of the city.

Thomas Hermanns, presenter, comedian, director, scriptwriter and founder of the popular Quatsch Comedy Club and thus a pioneer of German-language stand-up comedy, takes us back into the dim and distant past – the 1980s. With the hits of the New German Wave, he creates and produces a fast-paced comedy that combines trash and nostalgia, an eternal party and coming-of-age drama, with a real twinkle in its eye: a homage to the Ninth Decade in which Hermanns gives us a creation myth for Munich's Glockenbach Quarter – colourful, bizarre and witty. When the Reithalle in Munich sets off on a journey through time and turns into the trendy "Bussi" bar to report on the prehistory of Bavarian youth culture, you simply have to be part of it!
