Yara Blümel

Yara Blümel received her artistic training in Hanover, Vienna and New York. For several years, she was a permanent member of the acting ensemble at the St. Gallen Theatre. She has also appeared as Sally Bowles in »Cabaret« at the Kassel State Theatre and the Bremen Theatre. She played Reno Sweeney in »Anything Goes« at the Graz Opera House and the Prugg Castle Musical Festival in Lower Austria. In Berlin, she has appeared to date in such venues as the Maxim Gorki Theatre, the Theater am Potsdamer Platz (»Hinterm Horizont«), the Theater des Westens (»Chicago«), the Neuköllner Oper (»Elternabend«), the Kleines Theater and the Tribüne Berlin. At Vienna's Raimund Theatre, she was part of the original cast of the premiere of »Tanz der Vampire«, directed by Roman Polanski. The musical »Rent« also took her to the Schauspielhaus Hamburg and the Freie Volksbühne Berlin. She has also performed in the musicals »Grease« and »Hair«. She regularly supplements her busy stage performance schedule with appearances in television productions.
