Yael de Vries

Yael de Vries completed her musical training at the University for Music and the Performing Arts in Vienna. Even before her training, she played the leading role in the first performance of the musical »Jump«, and since then she has appeared on stage in various international productions.

She has, for example, appeared as Gwendolen in »Ernest in Love«, performed in »Der kleine Lord«, choreographed and played the part of Rosi in »Der kleine Medicus« and toured Europe with »Evita« as the Mistress and Dance Captain. At the St. Gallen Theatre, she performed in the Swiss musical »Bibi Balù« and played various roles in the first Swiss-German version of »De chli Isbär« in Zurich. At the Tecklenburg Open-Air Festival, she appeared in »Crazy for You«, »Marie Antoinette«, »Hairspray«, »Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat« and »Sunset Boulevard«, following this by engagements in »Carousel«, »Funny Girl« and »Roxy und ihr Wunderteam« before appearing in summer 2015 as the Kit Kat Girl Inga in »Cabaret« at the Bad Hersfeld Festival.

Most recently, Yael de Vries played the roles of Mrs. Pommeroy, Mrs. Pillbox and Mrs. Cratchit in »Vom Geist der Weihnacht« in Oberhausen. She gained an insight into the world of pop music as a background vocalist for the Echo-nominated act »Die Priester«, and also works as a narrator.
