Wolfgang Schubert

Born in Regensburg, Wolfgang Schubert first appeared on stage in 1985 in the world premiere of »Dr. Eisenbarth« at the theatre in his home town. He played further roles there in »A Midsummer Night’s Dream«, »Kasimir und Karoline«, »Cadillac« and »Hoffmanns Erzählungen«, among others. His first guest performance took him to St. Gallen in 1989, where he appeared in »Marat/Sade« by Peter Weiss. Under the direction of Josef E. Köpplinger, he has also performed in Regensburg (»Linie 1«), Bruck an der Leitha (»Cinderella«), St. Gallen and Augsburg (»Im weißen Rössl«) and Vienna (»Wiener Blut«). In addition, Wolfgang Schubert can be seen again and again in film, for example in several short films by Eric Grun as well as in Joseph Berlinger’s »1999: Der Damenherr. Die Heimsuchung des Alfred Kubin«. At the Gärtnerplatztheater he has been appearing since 2012 as Ketterl in »Im weißen Rössl«.
