Willer Gonçalves Rocha

Willer Rocha trained at the Center of Arts Pavilhao (Brazil) under Ricardo Scheir and at the Royal Dance Academy Sao Paulo and won the gold medal at the Valentina Kozlova International Ballet Competition New York in 2016. Until 2019, he worked at Cinevox Junior Company (Switzerland) with choreographers such as Heinz Spörli, Malou Fenaroli Leclerc, Martin Chaix, Tarek Assam and Nicole Morel. In 2018, Rocha danced at the Stadttheater Schaffhausen in Burak Özdemir’s »Bach: Atlas Passion« and graduated from Alonzo King Lines Ballet’s Pre-Professional Programme in 2019. From 2019 to 2022 he was part of the ballet ensemble of the Stadttheater Pforzheim. A guest performance took him to Expo 2020 in Dubai as a soloist. He also began teaching himself early on: in 2018/2019 at Stromwerk Dance Studio (Switzerland) he taught classical and modern dance, and in Pforzheim contemporary and modern dance. Since the 2022/2023 season he has been part of the ballet corps of the Gärtnerplatztheater.
