Victor Hugo Barreto

Victor Hugo Barreto was born in Brasília, the capital of Brazil. His first engagements took him in 2007 to São Paulo, where he played John in »Miss Saigon« and Seaweed in »Hairspray«. Since 2009, he has appeared on stage in such roles as Simba in Disney's »Der König der Löwen« in Hamburg, followed by roles in »Sister Act« (Hamburg), »We Will Rock You« (Basel, Essen) before returning to »Der König der Löwen«. During this time, he also became involved with a number of other artists in the »Plan International« project and organised a benefit concert of the musical »Dreamgirls«, where he appeared on stage as C. C. White. At the same time, he took over the role of Syd in »Motown – Die Legende« at the Theater am Kurfürstendamm in Berlin and also toured with the production. In the 2014/2015 season, he played Hud in »Hair« at the Darmstadt State Theatre, the Landestheater Coburg and the Capitol-Theater Mannheim and Judas in »Jesus Christ Superstar« at the Hagen Theatre, Syd and Zack in »Motown – Die Legende«, Seaweed at the Theater Baden bei Wien and Sunny in »Daddy Cool« at Le Théâtre Kriens-Lucerne.
