Verónica Segovia

Verónica Segovia was born in Barcelona and trained as a dancer at the Institut del Teatre there, in Madrid and with Maria de Avila and Arantxa Argüelles. From 2000 to 2006 she danced in companies such as the Ballet de Zaragoza, »Lanònima Imperial«, the New York Contemporary Company Ballet, the English National Ballet and the Spanish »Ballet Gambini«. In 2006-2007 she was a member of the ensemble of Ballet Madrid, and from 2009 to 2014 she danced in the ensemble of ballettmainz.

During this time, she appeared in works by Pascal Touzeau, Mats Ek, Jiří Kylián, Nacho Duato, Ohad Naharin, Patrick de Bana, Davide Bombana, Giovanni Garda, Robert North, Didy Veldman, Georg Reischl, Jacopo Godani, Davy Brun and others. She has presented her own choreographies at the Mainz State Theatre, at the Ballettwoche Mainz festival and at the Institut Français in Mainz.

After joining the ballet of Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz in the season 2014/2015 as a guest, she was an ensemble member from September 2015 till July 2019.
