Vanessa Shield

Vanessa Shield was born in Darlinghurst, Australia and trained at the Heinz Bosl Foundation in Munich. Her first fixed engagement took her to the Dortmund Ballet, before she moved to the Leipzig Ballet in the 2010/2011 season. Here, she danced a number of solo roles, including that of Mildred in »Chaplin«, in »A Dharma at Big Sur / Carmina Burana« and as Kriemhild Jugend in »Nibelungenlied«. She was a member of the ballet of the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz from the 2015/2016 season until 2017/2108.
