Ute Beyrer
Ute Walther grew up in Erfurt, where she also received her first singing lessons at the Academy of Music in 1984. In 1989, she changed to the »Carl Maria von Weber« Academy of Music in Dresden, from which she graduated in 1993. The same year, she came second in the »International Richard Trunk Singing Competition« and took part in a number of masterclasses.
After training to be a singing teacher, she completed a post-graduate study in Concert Performance with Claudia Eder at the University of Mainz. Since 1996, she has been a first alto in the chorus of the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz, where she has also been singing minor solo roles for a number of years.
In addition, Ute Walther has a lively career as a concert soloist.
