Sophia Keiler
The Austrian soprano Sophia Keiler completed her vocal studies at the Freiburg University of Music and Performing Arts and at the Hamburg University of Music and Theatre. She made her debut as Zerlina (»Don Giovanni«) and Susanna (»Le nozze di Figaro«) during her studies. She has won prizes at various competitions, including the Elise Meyer Competition, the Tiroler Klassik Sängerpreis and the Mozart Prize of the Absalom Foundation in Hamburg. She has attended masterclasses with Hedwig Fassbender, Christiane Iven and Krisztina Laki, among others. In 2023/2024, she was in her first engagement as a member of the ensemble at the Eduard-von-Winterstein-Theatre in Annaberg-Buchholz, where she performed roles such as Adele (»Die Fledermaus«), Mattea (»Don Buonaparte«), Stephanie (»Der Fürst von Pappenheim«) Gretel (»Hänsel und Gretel«), Pamina (»Die Zauberflöte«) and Emma (»Doctor Dolittle«). In 2024, she also made a guest appearance as Adele at Chemnitz Opera. She has been a member of the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz ensemble since the 2024/2025 season.
