Sebastian Smulders

Sebastian Smulders was born in the Eifel and grew up in the Lower Rhine region, before studying the subject of Musical/Show at the University of the Arts in Berlin.

He appeared in the first performance of »Kauf dir ein Kind« at the Neuköllner Oper while he was still a student. This was followed by engagements in such productions as »Cabaret« in the Bar jeder Vernunft, »Irma La Douce« at the Tribüne Berlin and as Thomas in »Pippi Langstrumpf« at the Schauspielbühnen Stuttgart. He appeared at Vienna's Ronacher Theatre in the first German-language performance of »Frühlingserwachen« and in Roman Polanski's »Tanz der Vampire« as Alfred, among others.

In 2011, Smulders played Rolf Gruber in »The Sound of Music« at the Salzburger Landestheater. Most recently, he has appeared in shows including the first performance of »Moses – Die 10 Gebote« at the St. Gallen Theatre and in »Sunset Boulevard« and »Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat« at the Tecklenburg Open-Air Theatre.
