Sebastian Hofmüller
Sebastian Hofmüller completed an apprenticeship as a journeyman carpenter in the theatre carpentry shop of the Münchner Kammerspiele before training as an actor at Otto Falckenberg School in Munich from 2001-2004. Initial engagements took him to Schauburg München where, among other things, he collaborated with directors like Gil Mehmert and Peer Boysen. In 2007-2009 he was a member of the ensemble at Tiroler Landestheater in Innsbruck and has since worked as a freelancer and made guest appearances at Regensburg Theatre, the Kammerspiele in Landshut and at the Stadttheater in Fürth.
Together with Greulix Schrank, with whom he founded Greumüllersche HörspielManufaktur, he produced the live-stage adventure »Emil und die Detektive« with which he toured for three years. The live-stage play »Pünktchen und Anton« premiered in February 2015. In addition, he frequently appears as spokesperson at various literary festivals. He has also been seen in film and TV, including in »Die Rosenheim Cops«, »Soko Kitzbühel« as well as »Madame Nobel« and »Die Weihnachtsmänner«.
He has additionally worked with Matthias Friedrich as organiser of the series »Kunst in der Kolonie - Literarische Hausbesetzungen« in Gauting. In July 2012 he was awarded the Günther Klinge Prize by the local community of Gauting for his artistic activities. Since October 2012 he has directed the youth club of Kleines Theater Kammerspiele Landshut and is furthermore a director of the Würmtal Adult Education Centre.
