Samantha Turton

Samantha Turton was born in England and completed her theatre and dance education at the London Studio Centre in 2006. One year later she came to Germany for the first time in order to appear in the Cologne production of »We Will Rock You« on the stage. In Bad Hersfeld she made a guest appearance as Graziella in Matthias David’s staging of »West Side Story« where she also worked as dance captain and ensemble member in Stefan Huber’s »Kiss me, Kate« and »Titanic«, both of them choreographed by Melissa King. In Stuttgart and Berlin she appeared as the assistant dance captain and cover for Red Boots / Nightmare solos in »Dance of the Vampires«. In her new home, Berlin, she was the swing and assistant dance captain onstage in »Beyond the Horizon«. In Austria she played in »Carousel« at the Graz Opera and performed for a year in Vienna as the swing in Disney’s and Cameron Mackintosh’s »Mary Poppins«. Both in Nuremberg as well as at Landestheater Linz she played in »Singin’ in the Rain«, staged and choreographed by Melissa King. At St. Gallen Theatre she made a guest appearance as Hunyak in »Chicago«, »Graziella« and as dance captain in »West Side Story« and in the ensemble and as dance captain in Ulrich Wigger’s and Jonathan Huor’s restaging of »Dance of the Vampires«. As choreographic assistant to Melissa King she has worked at St. Gallen Theatre on »West Side Story«, at Dortmund Theatre on »Hairspray« and at the Volksoper in Vienna on »La Cage aux Folles«.
