Sakis Birbilis

Sakis Birbilis is a visionary Lighting Designer, passionately devoted to theatrical, musical and dance productions since 1996. He has collaborated with most of the highly distinguished performing arts institutions such as the following: National Theatre and Opera of Greece, Rambert Dance Company (UK), Philadelphia Ballet (USA), Alexandrinsky Theatre (Russia), Stuttgart Ballet, Theaterhaus Stuttgart, Saarland State Theatre, Opera Ballet Vlaanderen, Theater Dortmund, Staatstheater Kassel, Grand Theatre du Geneve (Switzerland).

With artists such as Andonis Foniadakis and Douglas Lee, as well as with most of the highly distinguished and esteemed Greek directors and choreographers, designing the lighting for more than 200 theatrical plays and dance performances. For the past years, he has also collaborated as a Set Designer with choreographer Andonis Foniadakis, Douglas Lee and director Yiannis Kakleas.
