Russell Lepley
Russell Lepley completed his training as a dancer at the BalletMet Dance Academy in Columbus/USA and at the Houston Ballet's Ben Stevenson Academy. During his training, he danced with Houston Ballet II in numerous productions developed by such choreographers as Stanton Welch, Ben Stevenson and Claudio Munoz. After a season with the BalletMet Columbus, he was engaged in 2008 by Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montreal where he appeared in choreographies by Ohad Naharin (»Minus One«), Stijn Celis (»Le Sacre du Printemps«, »Les Noces«), Mats Ek (»Dornröschen«), Christian Spuck (»Leonce and Lena«) and others. In 2011, he moved to the Ballet of the Staatstheater Wiesbaden and danced here in numerous choreographies by Stephan Thoss – including »Chambre Noir«, »Kommen und Gehen« and as Mercutio and Paris in »Romeo und Julia« – and in ballets by Johan Inger (»Walking Mad«) and Jiří Kylián (»Six Dances«), among others. Russell Lepley has been a member of the ballet of Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz since the 2013/2014 to 2016 season.
