Robert Joseph Bartl

Robert Joseph Bartl trained as an actor at the Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna, with Klaus Maria Brandauer and Samy Molcho, among others. His engagements have taken him via the Burgtheater in Vienna, the Schauspiel Frankfurt and the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus to the Bayerisches Staatsschauspiel, with the Artistic Director Dieter Dorn, where he was part of the permanent ensemble for several years.

Since 2011, Robert Joseph Bartl has been working as a freelance actor for many German-speaking theatres and in recent years has also made a name for himself with his readings and his collaboration with musicians, including »Die Nachtigall des Zaren« for voice and counter-tenor at the Münchner Residenzwoche and Franz von Pocci's »Zaubergeige« for voice, violin and piano at the European Weeks Festival in Passau.
