Soloist
Peter Neustifter received his first professional training as a member of the Vienna Boys' Choir, where he came into contact with such conductors as Lorin Maazel, Zubin Mehta, Claudio Abbado, Riccardo Muti and Seiji Ozawa. Before his training as a performer in musicals at the Performing Arts Studios in Vienna, he played in various youth productions in roles including the main role in »Godspell«.
During his studies he appeared at Burg Forchtenstein as Pasquale in the musical »Ritter Roland rastet aus«, in the Vienna Museumsquartier in von Einem's opera »Dantons Tod«, in Theater Akzent as Mr. Mayor and First Monkey in »Seussical« and in solo performances in the »Women of the Year« and »Heart & Music« galas. He played the main roles of Shane and Andy in the first German-language production of »Camp Rock« in the Stadthalle in Vienna.
Since completing his studies, he has had engagements at the Lower Bavaria Regional Theatre in »Spamalot«, at Burg Forchtenstein as Franz in »Rups, der kleine Ritter«, the Klagenfurt City Theatre as Action in »West Side Story«, on the Kasematten Stage at Graz Opera in »Der Mann von La Mancha« and the Linz Regional Theatre in »Die Hexen von Eastwick«.
At the Gärtnerplatztheater where he is member of the ensemble since 2018, he played Tenorio in »Der Mann von La Mancha«, Belleroche in the world premiere of »Gefährliche Liebschaften«, Toni Graswander in the world premiere of »Drei Männer im Schnee«, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in »Mozart muss sterben«, Toni Schlumberger in »Die Zirkusprinzessin«, as well as in »Chitty Chitty Bang Bang«, »Singinʼ in the Rain«, »Candide«, »Jesus Christ Superstar«, in Monty Python’s »Life of Brian« and in »Tootsie«.
