Oksana Sekerina
Oksana Sekerina was born in Novy Urengoy. She got her education at the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music. Her debut was in 2016 as Donna Anna in »Don Giovanni« at Bregenzer Festspiele. The debut was followed by such roles as Contessa (»Le nozze di Figaro«) at the Oper Graz and the Theater Basel, Donna Anna at the Teatro Municipal der Ópera Nacional de Chile in Santiago, Tatiana Larina (»Eugen Onegin«) at the Oper Graz, Ortlinde (»Die Walküre«) at the Théâtre du Capitole Toulouse, Lisa Brichkina (»Вawns here are quiet«) at the Bolshoi Theatre/Zaryadye Hall, Adalgisa (»Norma«) and Leonora (»La forza del destino«) in Santiago de Chile, Amelia (»Un ballo in maschera«) at the Teatre Principal de Palma de Mallorca and Floria Tosca (»Tosca«) at the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz. Most recently she sang Tosca in Treviso and in Santiago de Chile.
Oksana Sekerina is the winner and laureate of a number of major vocal competitions, such as New opera world (Winner 2015), Elizabeth Connell Prize (Winner 2021), XVI Edicion Concurso International de Canto Monserrat Caballe (2nd Prize), Operalia (Birgit Nilsson Prize 2017), The XVI International Tchaikovsky Competition (4th Prize) and The XII Elena Obraztsova International Competition (3rd Prize, Winner Audience Prize).
