Nora Sitges-Sardà

Nora Sitges-Sardà attended the Laura Mas Dancing School in Barcelona and studied violin at the same time. In 1997 she became a member of the »I.T. Dansa« dance company in Barcelona under the direction of Catherine Allard. In 2000 she worked in Giessen for Roberto Galván followed by an engagement with the dance ensemble of Robert Poole in Linz. In 2002 she became a member of the »abcdancecompany« under the direction of Nicolas Musin. During that time she collaborated with, among others, Jiří Kylián, Wim Vandekeybus, Jacopo Godani, William Forsythe, Nacho Duato, Ohad Naharin, Itzik Galili and Wayne McGregor.

Since 2005, Nora Sitges-Sardà has, jointly with Claudi Bombardó, directed her own company, »Contrapunctus Danceport« in Barcelona and also appeared in numerous international projects. Thus, she danced, among others, in Italy in a production by Godani and in 2010 became his assistant. She danced »The The« in Forsythe's »Chamber Works« and assisted Karl Alfred Schreiner with his productions of »Blame it on Gavrilo« at the Tel Aviv Opera House and in »Nutcracker Suite« at the City Theatre in Klagenfurt.

In 2012, Karl Alfred Schreiner brought her along to Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz as deputy ballet director and training director.
