Stage Direction

Nicole Claudia Weber

Nicole Claudia Weber trained in song, dance and drama at the Song and Dance Studio of Theater an der Wien and at the Performing Arts Studios Vienna. Training was followed by engagements as a performer at the Theater St Gallen, the Bregenz Festival, Stadttheater Regensburg and Museumsquartier Wien, among others.

Independent directing work took her to theatres such as the Theâtre National du Luxembourg (»I will survive«), the Theater St Gallen (including »FSK 16«), the Landestheater Linz (»Pest oder unbeaufsichtigte Gepäckstücke«) and regularly to the Stadttheater Klagenfurt, where she staged, among other works, the first Austrian performance of the musical »King Kong«, »Der gestiefelte Kater«, »Dark Side of the Moon« and »Shakespeares sämtliche Werke leicht gekürzt«.

Since 2001, Nicole Claudia Weber has increasingly devoted herself to teaching and educational theatre work with young people. From 2005 to 2007, she led the Youth Theatre Club St Gallen, with whom she developed a large number of plays of her own. She moved to the Stadttheater Klagenfurt in 2008 in the same function.

At Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz, she ran Gärtnerplatz Jugend in the 2012/2013 and 2013/2014 seasons.
