Nicola Gravante
Nicola Gravante comes from Italian-speaking Switzerland and studied at the Performing Arts Studios in Vienna. In his homeland, he played Matto Ballerino in »La Cena Dei Matti« (Visconti Castle, Locarno), appeared in the Swiss cinema film »La Diga« and played the main role in the TV film »Storie«. During his studies in Vienna, he could be seen in such productions as »Samt und Seide« in the Kammeroper, in »The Next Generation« in the Theater des Augenblicks and in the Alfons Haider review »Die süßesten Früchte«. In addition, he also played the role of James in the first Austrian performance of »High School Musical« and had solo parts in the musical review »Start Of Something New«, both in the Stadthalle in Vienna.
After successfully graduating as an actor, he appeared in roles such as Dan (»Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat«) on tour, as Prinz Herrlich (»König & König«) in the Dschungel Wien, as Cagelle (»La Cage aux Folles«) and Al (»A Chorus Line«) at the Open Air Festival Stockerau, as Angelo (»Diner Royale«) in the Theater Casino Baden, in »Ich war noch niemals in New York« at the Raimund Theatre in Vienna, in »Anything Goes« at Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz and at the St Gallen Theatre. In addition, he was also in the TV film »Die Tänzerin«. At the Gärtnerplatztheater, he appeared in »Der Mann von La Mancha« and »Chitty Chitty Bang Bang«.
