Michael Johannes Mayer

Michael Johannes Mayer, who was born in Vienna and raised in Reichenau an der Rax, completed his training at the Performing Academy in Vienna. Whilst he was still a student, he appeared in the Stadthalle in Vienna in roles including Jafar and Aladdin in Disney's »Aladdin jr.« and at the Theater Akzent in »Voulez-Vous«. In addition, he played the time-travelling Alexander in »Ritter Rüdiger« at the Reinsberg Castle Festival, Tybald in »Romeo & Julia – Die neue Welt« at the Mödling City Theatre and Vienna's Musikverein and at the Theater der Jugend in the ensemble of »Winnifred oder die Prinzessin auf der Erbse«. At the Herbsttagen Blindenmarkt festival, he appeared in the operettas »Die Landstreicher«, »Im weißen Rössl« and as the Stage Manager in »Frühjahrsparade«. At the Lower Austrian Viertelfestival in summer 2015, he played Hans Leip and Norbert Schultze in the first performance of »Lili Marleen – Ein Lied durchbricht die Fronten«. In addition, Michael Johannes Mayer has appeared in the feature film »Im weißen Rössl – Wehe du singst« and as Sebastian in the ORF documentary series »Fokus Mord«. At the Gärtnerplatztheater he played Frid in »A Little Night Music«.
