Micaela Romano Serrano

Micaela Serrano Romano was born in Granada, where she discovered her love of dance through flamenco. She received her training at the Conservatorio Profesional de Danza »Reina Sofía« in Granada and graduated from the Palucca University of Dance in Dresden in 2017. In the same year, she was engaged as a soloist at the Saarland State Theatre. Here she danced in choreographies by Stijn Celis, Andonis Foniadakis, Anna Konjetzky, David Dawson, Jiri Kylian, Marienrico D’angelo, Marco Goecke, Moritz Ostruschnjak, Richard Siegal and Roberto Scafati, among others. She has also created her own works, for example for the SubsTanz programme 2021 (»The Grape Eaters«) and 2022 (»TanzReime zum Genießen«). She has been part of the ballet ensemble at Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz since the 2023/2024 season.
