Martin Emmerling

Martin Emmerling was born in Düsseldorf and grew up in Munich. When he was still young, he was already gaining theatrical experience with minor appearances on the stage of the Bayerische Staatsoper. In addition, he attended a number of theatre workshops in Munich and Valencia led by Carlos Cegarra. For some time now, he has also been travelling around cabaret theatres in German-speaking countries under his stage name »Calippo Schmutz« as a cabaret artist and comedian. He has appeared on stage at the Gärtnerplatztheater in productions such as »Viktoria und ihr Husar«, »Die Faschingsfee« and »Die lustige Witwe«.
