Marcus Wandl

Marcus Wandl was born in Lindenberg im Allgäu in Bavaria. Even during his school years he was a member of the Carl Orff choir in Marktoberdorf, with which he also undertook a number of concert tours in Germany and abroad. After completing his 'A' level equivalent, he studied singing with Dorothea Chryst at the Leopold Mozart Conservatory in Augsburg. He was still studying when he gained his initial theatrical experience in the Augsburg Municipal Theatres and in the first performance of the musical »Metania«, in which he played the title role.

Marcus Wandl has been a member as 1st bass of the chorus of Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz since 1999, where he also regularly plays minor solo parts, such as Herold (»The Love for Three Oranges «) and Poseidon (»Orphée aux enfers«).
