Soloist
Luke Giacomin
Luke Giacomin received his dance education at the Australian Ballet School in Melbourne and danced afterwards in dance ensembles and as a soloist with the Sydney Dance Company, the Dancers Company of the Australian Ballet Company and the West Australian Ballet Company. In 2000 he began collaboration with Melissa King as a member of the dance ensemble in the musical production »Evita« at Stadttheater Klagenfurt which then continued into productions like »The White Horse Inn« (Staatstheater Hanover), »Kiss me, Kate« and »My Fair Lady« (Bad Hersfeld Festival), »Singin’ in the Rain« (Staatstheater Nuremberg and Landestheater Linz, as well as as dance captain and fencing choreographer), »West Side Story« (St. Gallen Theatre) and in the work of the Gayle Tufts Show »Love!« (TIPI am Kanzleramt in Berlin).
Additionally, Luke Giacomin danced in the productions »Elisabeth« (Colosseum Theatre in Essen), »Mamma Mia!« (Operettenhaus in Hamburg), »Three Musketeers« (Theater des Westens, Berlin), »Beauty and the Beast« (Theater am Potsdamer Platz, Berlin, and Metronom Theatre in Oberhausen) and »Kiss me, Kate« (Komische Oper Berlin). As choreographic assistant and dancer he collaborated in the production »A Summer Night’s Dream« at the Salzburg Festival in 2013. In the same year he additionally took on choreography at the theatre lab production of »The Glorious« at the Stage Entertainment Studios GmbH in Hamburg. In 2014 Luke Giacomin was also active as a choreographer for »Maria Stuart« at the Bad Hersfeld Festival.
