Luca Seixas

The Brazilian dancer Luca Seixas comes from Campinas, São Paulo. He began dancing capoeira at the age of seven and later received his dance training at the Instituto das Artes Luana Lopes. He had his first engagements in Rio de Janeiro with the Companhia Brasileira de Balé, followed by the Companhia de Dança Deborah Colker. He later became a member of the Companhia de Dança ensemble in São Paulo, where he performed works by Jiří Kylián and Édouard Lock, among others. Since 2017 he has been a member of the ballet company of the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz and has worked with choreographers such as Marina Mascarell, Erna Ómarsdóttir, Damien Jalet, Iván Pérez and Ioannis Mandafounis
