Laura Schneiderhan
The Austrian actress and singer Laura Schneiderhan grew up in Munich and got her acting training with Michael Mohapp, Mona Seefried, Kirk Baltz (USA), Susan Batson (USA), Cloe Xhauflaire (Belgium), Fiona Graham (GB) und Beate Maes. This was followed two years later by studies in classical singing with Regine Köbler at the University of Music and the Performing Arts in Vienna, from which she graduated with distinction.
Laura Schneiderhan worked with directors like Bernd Fischerauer, Georg Schmiedleitner, Reto Nickler, Simon Meusburger and Josef E. Köpplinger for example at the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz, the Teatro Communale Bozen and the Neue Oper Wien (in cooperation with the Bregenz Festival). She worked with conductors like Christoph Meier, Andreas Kowalewitz, Marius Burkert and Walter Kobéra.
The 2nd prize winner of the Gärtnerplatztheater’s »MUT Competition« is active both on stage and in front of the camera, including the female leads in the independent cinema films »Lula & Miguel« (USA/D 2019) and »Why is everything so complicated sometimes« (AUT 2019) as well as in Georg Kreisler’s »Heute Abend: Lola Blau« at the Tyrolean Landestheater Innsbruck. For this role she was awarded the 2021 Music Theatre Prize in the category »Best New Female Talent«. Most recently, she appeared in the world premiere of the opera »Lorit« at the Tiroler Landestheater and the Vereinigte Bühnen Bozen as well as in her own production »Freche Frauen« at the Kellertheater in Innsbruck.
At the Gärtnerplatztheater she played in »A Little Night Music«, »Die Faschingsfee«, »My Fair Lady« and in the world premiere »Drei Männer im Schnee«.
