Kristin Torp

Born in Tønsberg, Norwegian set and costume designer Kristin Torp graduated from the SHKS Art School in Oslo and the universities of Bergen and Oslo. Her extensive artistic work covers a broad spectrum of the visual arts from graphics to painting and sculpture through computer installations to stage and costume design, often using metal as a material. In addition to her theatre work and exhibitions in Norway, her career has taken her to the USA, Italy, England, Monte Carlo, Hong Kong and Japan. She has participated in more than 50 stage projects worldwide. In the process, she has had a regular collaboration with Ina Christel Johannessen since 1988.
