Kraans de Lutin

At the end of the 1990s, Kraans de Lutin started his musical career in his hometown of Menden as a producer for Dendemann, Dabrutack and Nico Suave, among others. He is a co-founder of the Westkurvenkollektiv, which had a significant influence on German hip hop at the time. But his early days in hip hop were only the starting signal for a career in which he moves in many genres. In 2002, he opened Phlexton Studios in Berlin-Kreuzberg, where he wrote and produced songs for countless well-known national and international artists. To date, he has released well over 1.000 songs for artists such as Culcha Candela, Shaggy, Nena, Timmy Trumpet, Tim Benzko, Lea, Neneh Cherry, Africa Bambaata, Sido, Seeed, R3HAB and many more, many of which have achieved gold and platinum status.

In 2010, Kraans de Lutin founded Edition Phlexton to support up-and-coming talents in their first steps. Among others, he introduces Flo Mega to the German music landscape, whose albums he wrote, produced and mixed. Kraans de Lutin also supplies the big screen with his music: he provides the soundtracks for »Goldene Zeiten« and »Nicht mein Tag« (with Axel Stein and Moritz Bleibtreu, among others), both directed by Peter Thorwarth. He also wrote the music for major advertising campaigns, e.g. for Saturn (»Alle wollen Technik«), Jägermeister and Fritt.
