Soloist
Kerstin Ried
Kerstin Ried works internationally as a freelance choreographer for stage, theatre and media productions. She trained as a professional dancer at the Iwanson International School of Contemporary Dance and initially performed on stage herself for many years ‒ whether as a dancer for the Hamburg State Opera, for example, or in numerous musical productions and in front of the camera.
Today, her choreographic signature can be seen in German-language premieres such as the musicals »Madagascar« (Luisenburg Festspiele Wunsiedel) and »Chaplin« (Osnabrück Theatre) and world premieres such as »Schneewittchen und die 77 Zwerge« (Komische Oper Berlin). Other stages in her career as a choreographer have taken her to the Theater an der Wien, theatres in Magdeburg, Erfurt, Münster, Krefeld-Mönchengladbach, Trier, Kaiserslautern, the Theater für Niedersachsen and the Museumsquartier Wien.
Her choreographic references include the musical production »Flashdance«, which has been touring Germany, Austria and Switzerland since 2020, as well as titles such as »Titanic«, »Sister Act«, »Cabaret«, »My Fair Lady«, »Fiddler on the Roof«, »Die stumme Serenade«, »Sweeney Todd«, »Orphée aux enfers«, »The Wizard of Oz«, »Lucky Stiff«, »Die lustigen Weiber von Windsor«, »Der Zigeunerbaron«, »Das Dschungelbuch«, »La Grande-Duchesse de Gérolstein«, »Peter Pan«, »Scrooge«, »Ladies Night« and »Im weißen Rössl«.
