Jörn Linnenbröker

Jörn Linnenbröker initially studied theatre and media studies, education and English language and literature at the Friedrich Alexander University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. After completing his master's degree, he moved to the Berlin University of the Arts to train in drama, song and dance there. While he was still studying, the recipient of a bursary from the Günter Neumann Foundation and prize-winner in the National Singing Competition played roles such as John Merrick (»Der Elefantenmensch«) at Vienna's Theater der Jugend and the Neuköllner Oper Berlin, Knappe Knuth and Herr Kaiser (»Pinkelstadt«) at the Schlossparktheater in Berlin and Tom Flut (»Erwin Kannes – Trost der Frauen«) at the Neuköllner Oper.

Later, he took on such roles as Sky (»Mamma Mia!«) in Hamburg Operetta House and in the Theater am Potsdamer Platz in Berlin, Falscher Hase (»Der Schuh des Manitu«) in Stage Entertainment workshops, Young Scrooge and Marley (»Vom Geist der Weihnacht«) in the Theater am Marientor in Duisburg, Blaubär (»Die 13 ½ Leben des Käptʼn Blaubär«) on tour, Riff (»West Side Story«) at the theatres in Hagen and Lucerne, Nick Piazza (»Fame«) at the Gera-Altenburg Theatre, William Murdoch and J. Bruce Ismay (»Titanic – Das Musical«) at the Lake Thun Festival, Monsieur Lefèvre (»Das Phantom der Oper«) for Vereinigte Bühnen Wien, Artie Green (»Sunset Boulevard«) at the Klagenfurt City Theatre, Jean-Michel (»La Cage aux Folles«) at the Bar jeder Vernunft in Berlin, in »I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change« in E-Werk Freiburg and in »Love Never Dies« in the Ronacher Theatre, Vienna.

Jörn Linnenbröker also works as an actor in film and TV productions. Alongside various advertising spots, he has appeared in programmes such as »Gute Zeiten, schlechte Zeiten«, »Entweder oder« (arte/MDR) and in the trilogy »Der Yalu fließt«, an international coproduction between Bavarian Broadcasting and the Korean broadcaster SBS. The series pilot for »Alex FM«, in which he played the role of Sunny, was awarded the Goldene Rose at the »Rose dʼOr« TV festival in Lucerne. As a dubber, his voice can be heard in international film and TV productions. As a creative conceptioner in the event branch he coaches employees in themes like voice, body language and presentation.

He made his debut at the Gärtnerplatztheater in the first continental performance of »Chitty Chitty Bang Bang«.
