Hannes Muik
Hannes Muik was born in Graz and trained in song and dance in Vienna and in drama in New York. His performing engagements include productions at Vienna's Raimund-Theater (»Tanz der Vampire«, »Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat«), the St Gallen Theatre (»Jesus Christ Superstar«, »Anything Goes«), Graz Opera (including »Der Mann von La Mancha«, »Fame«, »West Side Story«), Klagenfurt City Theatre (including »Singin’ in the Rain«, »Jesus Christ Superstar«, »My Fair Lady«), and the Volksoper in Vienna (»Hello, Dolly!«). In collaboration with Werner Sobotka he co-directed »Into the Woods« at the Prinzregententheater in Munich, »High School Musical« at the Stadthalle in Vienna and »The Wild Party« at Klagenfurt City Theatre. As a choreographer, he also worked at the Dresden State Theatre on »Anatevka«.
At Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz he played Lord Evelyn Oakleigh (»Anything Goes«), José (»Der Mann von La Mancha«), Goran (»Chitty Chitty Bang Bang«) and Sid Philips (»Singinʼ in the Rain«). He was also choreographer of the production »Cinderella« und staged the concerts »Broadway for Kids« und »Christmas on Broadway«.
