Giovanni Insaudo

After graduating from the Victor Ullate Ballet School in Madrid and the Centro Andaluz de Danza in Seville, dancer and choreographer Giovanni Insaudo worked with companies such as Dantzaz Konpainia, Balletto dellʼEsperia, the ballet of the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz and the Lucerne Theatre. In addition to his experience as a dancer, over the years he has approached choreography and founded his collective »I VESPRI | Giovanni Insaudo«, which has led him on a journey of self-discovery and the definition of artistic language and movement identity. Numerous creations by his company such as »Keller«, »Acamante e Fillide«, »Crisalide«, »Diva«, »Sueño de Plata«, »AriK/KirA« and »I Have Seen That Face Before« have been presented at various international festivals and competitions.

His portfolio as a choreographer includes various dance companies and theatres in countries such as Italy, Spain, Bulgaria, Turkey, Germany, the Netherlands, Israel, Denmark, Belgium, Taiwan and Switzerland. He has created choreographies for companies including Konzert und Theater St. Gallen, CCN/ATERBALLETTO, Tanzlabor/Roxy Ulm, Eko Dance Project Turin, Contemporary Dance ZHdK Zurich, Theater Trier, DAF Rome, Balletto di Toscana, Luzerner Theater, Balletto dellʼEsperia, Dantzaz Errenteria, Hung Dance and Theater Nordhausen. After his years as a member of the ensemble, Giovanni Insaudo is now returning to the Gärtnerplatztheater as a choreographer.
