Gaston Rivero
The young Uruguayan-US tenor Gaston Rivero made his debut in 2003 in New York in Puccini's »La Bohème on Broadway«, a production by the Australian director and producer Baz Luhrmann. He made his European debut in 2005 in the role of Lieutenant Pinkerton in »Madama Butterfly« at the Nuremberg State Theatre. This was followed by collaborations with famous artists such as Daniel Barenboim, Zubin Mehta, Philipp Stölzl and Johannes Schaaf, within which he appeared in roles such as Manrico (»Il trovatore«) at the Berlin State Opera and the Grand Théâtre Opéra National de Bordeaux, Mario Cavaradossi (»Tosca«) at Oper Leipzig, Rodolfo (»La bohème«) at the Deutsche Oper Berlin, Alfredo (»La traviata«) with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra and the Palm Beach Opera, Don José (»Carmen«) at the New National Theater Tokyo, the Tenor (»Der Rosenkavalier«) at the Grand Théâtre de Genève, Faust (»Mefistofele«) at the Budapest State Opera, Ismaele (»Nabucco«) at the Teatro Massimo di Palermo, the title role in »Don Carlo« at the Teatr Wielki Opera Narodowa, Des Grieux (»Manon Lescaut«) at Oper Graz, Turiddu (»Cavalleria rusticana«) at the Teatro Solis de Montevideo and Flaminio (»L’amore dei tre re«) with the Opera Orchestra of New York.
