Fritz Graas

Fritz Graas has been appearing regularly on the stage of Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz since 1960. His first premiere was in 1960 in the first German performance of Prokofiev's »Die Liebe zu den drei Orangen« directed by Arno Assmann and Kurt Eichhorn. After engagements in Koblenz and Würzburg (1965–1973), he returned to his original home on Gärtnerplatz and has interpreted a large number of roles in operas, operettas and musicals since then. Guest appearances have taken him to the Festivals of Bregenz, Schwetzingen and Bad Ischl. In addition, Fritz Graas has also worked repeatedly in television. His work is also documented in a large number of complete recordings of operas, operettas and musicals. He appeared at the Gärtnerplatztheater as Baron Weps in »Der Vogelhändler«, Josef Kuhbrot in »Der Vetter aus Dingsda«, Bartolomeo Delacqua (»Eine Nacht in Venedig«) and most recently Frantischek in »Die Zirkusprinzessin«.
