Frank Lichtenberg

The stage and costume designer Frank Lichtenberg was born in Saarbrücken and studied fashion design in Trier as well as stage and costume design at the Dresden University of Fine Arts. He has been working as a freelance costume designer for over 20 years, mainly for opera, musical and operetta productions. His work has been seen at numerous theatres in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, including the Staatsoper Unter den Linden Berlin, the Frankfurt Opera, the Konzert Theater Bern and the Saxon Opera.

Frank Lichtenberg has worked with directors such as Elisabeth Stöppler, Andrea Schwalbach, Lydia Steier and Maximilian von Meyenburg. He has also worked with Dirk Schmeding and set designer Martina Segna for many years. Together they have worked on productions such as »Guercœur« (Theatre Osnabrück), »Švanda dudák« and »Venus in Seide« (Graz Opera) as well as »Příhody lišky Bystroušky« and »Jenůfa« (Staatstheater Darmstadt.) »L’elisir d’amore« is Frank Lichtenberg’s first work at the Gärtnerplatztheater.

Productions
