Frank Berg
Frank Berg received his education in acting and singing at the Academy of Gothenburg.
His theatre itinerary include Theater des Westens in Berlin, the Bonn Opera and Landestheater Innsbruck, the Music Theatre in Industrial Gelsenkirchen, Rostock's Volkstheater, Nuremberg State Theatre, Hamburg's Schauspielhaus, Hanover State Opera House as well as city theatres in Stuttgart, Klagenfurt, the Graz Opera, the St Gallen Theatre and the Volksoper Wien. At these venues he appeared in such plays as »Die Dreigroschenoper«, »West Side Story«, »Show Boat«, »Man of La Mancha«, »Im Weißen Rössl«, »Guys and Dolls«, »Die Lustige Witwe«, »Jesus Christ Superstar«, »Cinderella«, »The King and I« and »Sweeney Todd«. He has additionally appeared on television including in »Die Rettungsflieger«, »Die Küstenwache« and »Unser Charly« and played Old Shatterhand (»Winnetou – Im Tal des Todes«) at the Karl May Drama Festival in Weitensfeld.
At Gärtnerplatztheater, Frank Berg has thus far played the role of Stewart (»Anything Goes«), Herzog/Dr Carrasco (»Man of La Mancha«), Grandpa Potts (»Chitty Chitty Bang Bang«), Baron Peter Brusowsky (»Die Zirkusprinzessin«), Roscoe Dexter (»Singinʼ in the Rain«), Andreas Lubitschek (»Die Faschingsfee«), Bob (»Priscilla – Queen of the Desert«), Ambrogio (»Il barbiere di Siviglia«) as well as in »Im weißen Rössl«, »The Jungle Book«, »Cinderella«, »Hair«, »Die lustige Witwe« and »Jesus Christ Superstar«.
Since 2016 he is a member of the Gärtnerplatztheaterʼs ensemble.
