Elvira Hasanagić

The German-Slovenian soprano Elvira Hasanagić received her first singing lessons at the age of 18 and has since regularly won national and international competitions. She obtained her artistic diploma and master class diploma in 2012 at the University of Music and Theatre in Munich in the class of Edith Wiens and Daphne Evangelatos. At the same time, she completed a degree in communication studies.

Her artistic career has taken the soprano, who was awarded the title of »Young Artist of the Year« in Dresden 2017, to, among others. at the Staatsoper Unter den Linden Berlin, the Deutsche Oper Berlin, the Teatro Colón Buenos Aires, the Nationaltheater Mannheim, the Staatsoper Ljubljana, the Staatstheater Saarbrücken, the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz, the Staatstheater Kassel and the Theater Chemnitz with roles such as Violetta Valéry (»La traviata«), Liù (»Turandot«), Contessa Almaviva (»Le nozze di Figaro«), Fiordiligi (Così fan tutte«), Laura (»Der Bettelstudent«), Angèle Didier (»Der Graf von Luxemburg«), Rosalinde (»Die Fledermaus«), Zarin Militrissa (»Das Märchen vom Zaren Saltan«), Irina (»Tri sestri«), Frau Fluth (»Die lustigen Weiber von Windsor«) as well as the title roles in »Lucia di Lammermoor«, »Beatrice di Tenda« and »Luisa Miller«. She has appeared on stage with artists such as José Cura, Ramón Vargas, Stefano la Colla, Sabine Hogrefe and Plácido Domingo.

In concert she has appeared at the Ravinia Festival Chicago, where she worked with the pianist Malcolm Martineau and the conductor James Conlon, at the Philharmonie am Gasteig in Munich, the Philharmonie in Cologne and in Ljubljana, Oslo and Lisbon. As part of a collaboration with the Bavarian Radio Orchestra and the conductors Ulf Schirmer and George Petrou, she can be heard on CD recordings of Simone Mayr’s »La Lodoiska« and Peter Eötvös’ »Tri sestri«. She is also active as a lied singer and recorded songs by Hugo Wolf, Anton Lajovic, Slavko Osterc, Konstantin Babić and Ivan Zajc for Deutschlandradio Kultur, including several first recordings. In collaboration with the publishing house of the Slovenian Broadcasting Corporation, her first solo album »El Soprano ‒ Sehnsucht« was released in 2018.
