Dorina Garuci
Dorina Garuci, born in Albania, attended music high school in her native country and studied violin. At the age of eleven she won first place in the Albanian TV casting show »Little Genius«, and in 2008 she won second place in the Albanian version of »Pop Idol«. As a representative of Albania she travelled, among other places, to Russia, Italy and Norway and took part there in various competitions. She got her education at MUK, Musik und Kunst Privatuniversität in Vienna (the former Vienna Conservatorium). She gained her stage experience there, including in the operetta »Die Landstreicher«, as Princess Laya in »The Flower of Hawaii« as well as in the musicals »The Drowsy Chaperone« and as Vanessa in »In the Heights«. In addition, she also played, among other roles, Stephanie Mangano in »Saturday Night Fever« at the Musical Summer in Amstetten, Lucy Harris in »Jekyll & Hyde« and Bonnie Parker in »Bonnie & Clyde« at the Stadttheater Baden, as Soulgirl and Cover Mary Magdalene in »Jesus Christ Superstar« at the Vereinigte Bühnen Wien, Anita in »West Side Story« at the Theater Bonn and Theater Dortmund, Gianna in the world premiere of »Wahnsinn!« at the Theater am Marientor Duisburg and on tour as well as Mary Magdalene at Theater St. Gallen. As a singer Dorina Galuci has appeared internationally in festivals and concerts, and regularly on Albania television as well.
