Dominik Hees
A native of Cologne, Dominik Hees started to play the piano at the age of five and has been performing as a soloist and with others since he was nine. Later, he taught himself to play percussion, guitar and bass and founded his own rock bands, in which he also sang. During his school years, he was involved in various semi-professional theatre and musical performances in the Cologne region.
In 2009, Dominik Hees played the role of Georg in the first German-language performance of the Broadway hit »Frühlings Erwachen« in the Ronacher in Vienna, then took over the title role in »Buddy – Die Buddy Holly Story« in the Colosseum Theatre in Essen, appearing in the same year as Kosinsky in Schiller's »Die Räuber« at the Klagenfurt City Theatre. After this, he toured Europe as Rum Tum Tugger in »Cats« and appeared in Klagenfurt as Jack Driscoll in »King Kong« and as Link Larkin in »Hairspray« at the Deutsches Theater in Munich.
Furthermore, he made his début at the Gärtnerplatztheater as Cliff Bradshaw in »Cabaret« and appeared as Henry in the first German-language performance of »Next to Normal« in Fürth, as Helmut Rahn in the first performance of »Das Wunder von Bern« in Hamburg and as Frank’n’Furter in »The Rocky Horror Show« in Magdeburg.
