Dionne Wudu

Dionne Wudu graduated from the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen and then appeared in musical productions in Germany and Austria such as »Buddy – Die Buddy Holly Story«, as Mimi in »Rent«, Deloris van Cartier in »Sister Act« (Vienna, Stuttgart, Oberhausen) and as Mary Magdalen and Soulgirl in »Jesus Christ Superstar« (Bonn Theatre, Dortmund Opera House). In addition, she played Polly in »Die Dreigroschenoper« at the Bad Gandersheim Cathedral Festival and appeared for the first time in a »Hair« production in the Kassel State Theatre in 2008.

She has also been involved in various galas, such as the gala for the opening of the European Capital of Culture Berlin/Brussels and has won prizes including the German National Singing Competition in Berlin and the MTV Inscene Talent Award. After first appearing as a presenter in 2007 for »Kopfball« (WDR), she also appeared from 2011 as a presenter on Pro7 for »Galileo« and also works as a live presenter at various events.

In addition, she has sung various advertising and radio jingles, writes her own songs, including music for the Lürssen image film in 2014, and performs throughout the world with her electric swing band »TapeFive«, most recently in Moscow's State Estrada Theatre, the Théâtre du Merveilleux in Paris and at festivals in Prague, Bratislava and Hampshire.
