Dean Power
Dean Power comes from Ireland and studied at the Royal Irish Academy of Music as well as at the D. I. T. Conservatory of Music and Drama in Dublin. He is a prize winner of numerous competitions, including the Veronica Dunne International Singing Competition.
His repertoire comprises parts like Acis (»Acis und Galatea«), Fileno (»La fedeltà premiata«), Don Ottavio (»Don Giovanni«), Tamino (»Die Zauberflöte«), Ferrando (»Così fan tutte«), Edmondo (»Manon Lescaut«), Janek (»Die Sache Makropoulos«), Oloferno Vitellozo and Rustighello (»Lucrezia Borgia«), Arturo and Normanno (»Lucia di Lammermoor«), Matteo Borsa (»Rigoletto«), Nathanaël (»Les Contes d'Hoffmann«), Scaramuccio (»Ariadne auf Naxos«), Remendado (»Carmen«), the appearance of a young man and hunchback (»Die Frau ohne Schatten«), Malcolm (»Macbeth«), Froh (»Das Rheingold«), the Third Young Officer (»Die Soldaten«) and Toni Reischmann (»Elegie für junge Liebende«) as well as oratorio literature by Bach, Handel, Haydn, Mozart, Schubert and Schumann.
After two years in the Opera Studio, this tenor has since the beginning of the 2012/2013 season been a member of the ensemble of Bayerische Staatsoper. He made his debut at Gärtnerplatztheater in 2014 as Belmonte in »Die Entführung aus dem Serail«.
