Christof Messner
Born in South Tyrol, Christof Messner graduated with distinction from the Conservatory of the City of Vienna, where he also appeared in such performances as »Die Dreigroschenoper«, »Fame« and »The Wild Party«. After this, he was engaged as Freddy (»My Fair Lady«), Hans (»Der gestiefelte Kater«) and Carl Denham (»King Kong«) at the Klagenfurt City Theatre. In 2009, he won the MUT competition for musical entertainment theatre. At Felsenbühne Staatz, he played DʼArtagnan (»3 Musketiere«) and Mereb (»Aida«). This was followed by engagements at the Wilfersdorf Castle Festival in »Der Graf von Luxemburg« and in the first performances of the musicals »Der Hofnarr« in the Vienna Metropol and »Grimm!« at the Graz Opera House. His performance in the title role in the last of these gained him the 2015 German Musical Theatre Prize as »Best Main Actor«. Most recently, he played Mickey Johnstone in »Blutsbrüder« at the Gmunden City Theatre, Jack in »Charleys Tante« at the Vienna Metropol and Perchik in »Anatevka« in his home city of Bolzano. At the Gärtnerplatztheater he played Henrik Egerman in »A Little Night Music«.
