Cameron Becker
Cameron Becker is born in Leawood, Kansas, he graduated with honors from the Mozarteum University in Salzburg, Austria, and from Arizona State University. Until 2015 he was ensemble member at the theatre Regensburg, where he was heard as Tamino (»Die Zauberflöte«), Adam (»Der Vogelhändler«), Alfred (»Die Fledermaus«), Alfredo (»La traviata«), Fenton (»Falstaff«), Gunther (»Die Feen«), Victorin/Gaston (»Die tote Stadt«), Camille de Rosillon (»Die lustige Witwe«), Kudrjáš (»Katja Kabanowa«), Pang (»Turandot«), Tony (»West Side Story«), Prinz Sternschnuppe (»Frau Luna«) and Sellem (»The Rake’s Progress«).
Until 2020/2021 he was under fest contract at the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe, where he sang Max (»Der Freischütz«), Don Ottavio (»Don Giovanni«), Froh (»Rheingold«), Pedrillo (»Die Entführung aus dem Serail«), Freddy (»My Fair Lady«), Titus (»La clemenza di Tito«) as well as Pang, Tamino and Camille de Rosillon, among others.
Recent guest contracts include Titus with the Theater Magdeburg in Winterthur, Gringoire (»Nôtre Dame«) at the Theater St. Gallen, Fatty (»Aufstieg und Fall der Stadt Mahagonny«) at the Opernhaus Zurich and Fenton at the Teatro Petruzzelli in Bari.
